I've now completed the stripping of 2 P1K F3's. Here are some tips:
1. The window glass has been glued in with about 5 pounds of adhesive.(OK only a half pound) The side windows on one were gently pried out, both the cab windows and headlight were stubborn. DO NOT
USE CA debonder! On unit number one I tried it and have ruined the cab windows, headlight and one side window. I used a needle applicator and thought I used very little. It still crept up onto the
glass edges. Try the easier method in 2.
2. Take the shell(windows and all) and immerse it in 90% isopropal for 12 to 24 hours. That's right, overnight. Since the windows are glued in AFTER painting the extra time allows the alcohol time to
soften the paint under the glue. The paint on the unit will come off easily and the windows will pop out with little effort. The headlight may not come out depending on how much glue was used. I may
just leave it and mask it before painting.
