Here is a chart I have been compiling which is intended to be a DCC mobile decoder selection chart. It's a bit out of date (I have just
updated the Digitrax section, Lenz is next) but I would appreciate comments (mainly the positive ones anyway) about how this coul dbe made more useful
Cheers

Ah the vissitudes of life. Brand new RS-2, brand new Digitrax DN148K. Engine runs great on straight DC. Take out supplied light board, install DN148K, test before reinstalling loco shell and
walkway runs great. Install walkway and shell, still runs great. Notice that rear of shell is not quite seated properly. Carefully (I thought) seat shell, return loco to test track.
NOTHING! Can't make it run, can't make light come on, etc., etc. Frustration. Remove shell and walkway re-install original lamp board. Runs great. O.K. try the DN148K again, again NOTHING. However
notice that if I lift front of PC board near frame contact tabs, light comes on. AHA! The solution comes to me, A CREDIT CARD. No, I did not buy another, I trimmed a small piece of plastic off of an
expired card and slipped it under the PC board between the tabs. This lifted the board just enough so the tabs now make solid electrical contact. Re-installed and seated the walkway and shell so
everything looks and works great. I know that some people have put a little dab of solder on the contact tabs but I didn't want to do that. So Citgo and I take full "CREDIT" for this solution.
